Fly Boys

For those of  you who don’t know I am also a commercial pilot. While driving across NZ with my buddy we saw this old Ag Cat parked on the side of the road. It had been converted and restored to pristine condition for scenic flights so we took it up for a flight. Ahhh… to feel the wind in your hair and… fly around at low level. It’s not quit the same as my day job. Commercial flying is one thing but this is what it’s all about.

You can take scenic flight tours from this spot which is on the southern shore of Lake Pukaki. If you take the long tour you will get to fly all the way up the valley to the southern slopes of Mt Cook.
