This swan living here on the shores of Lake Geneva was so unperturbed by my presence that it felt a little grooming was in order. Obviously despite the fact that I was very close to it’s future children. I was amazed as I walked the shore line to encounter two other pairs of swans diligently building there nests. They were working as a team passing small stones and sticks to each other kind of like you see diggers doing on a construction site. All this was going on in a high traffic public place and they were unfazed by the people.
This story has a sad ending though as during a storm the water level in lake Geneva rose to a historical high destroying all of the nests along its shores. The big effort from these future parents working together as a team is put on hold for another year.
