October in Seattle

October in Seattle

Seattle recoded this October as being the wettest in history. I just moved back here after spending the last seven years living in Japan. The fall colors were on full display and I was out to see them both in the rain and on the few sunny days we did have.  As an aviator I like…. to go down to Lake Union and take a little float plane up for a flight over Seattle but I also enjoy being a member at the ‘Center for Wooden Boats’. You can rent a small sail boat and go out and mix it up with the float planes.

I went down to the Museum of Flight to see the new WWI and WWII exhibits. I have a membership here as well because it’s one of those places you just keep coming back too. Afterwards at my yoga class I was telling my friend Hank who is a retired Delta captain and he said his mothers picture is in the exhibit. She flu B-29 during the war.

Any chance I can get to hike parts of the Pacific Coast Trail are welcome. On this occasion I took a wee meander off the trail and straight up Chikamin Peak. A great view and picture while I left my cousin hanging. I almost forgot. Happy Birthday Mike.
