Jussi Lyons‘Big Buddha’ is a tourist stop on the island of Samui. I don’t know if there is a connection between all the yoga I have been doing and the number of Buddda pictures on my hard drive but there seems to be quit a few as of late. The second image I took…. just up the road from my house while out for a bike ride the other night. I like the symmetry in both images and the textures. Typically all these statues around Thailand are photographed in there original vibrant colours but breaking with tradition I have opted for the sepia toning.
